Members of the South Jersey Chapter can help accelerate the pace of diabetes research by partnering with JDRF to raise funds for our annual Gala Fund A Cure Campaign.  All you have to do is set up a fundraising page, email it to your peers, and ask them to support research! To get started, please sign up here.

Fund A Cure is a unique opportunity to make a 100% tax-deductible donation to JDRF that will fund vital research to cure, treat, and prevent type 1 diabetes (T1D). Since 1994, JDRF has raised over $222 million through Fund A Cure alone.

Type 1 diabetes (T1D) is an autoimmune disease in which a person's pancreas stops producing insulin, a hormone that enables people to get energy from food.  While its causes are not yet entirely understood, scientists believe that both genetic factors and environmental triggers are involved.

JDRF is the leading global organization funding T1D research.  JDRF's goal is to progressively remove the impact of T1D from people's lives until we achieve a world without T1D. JDRF collaborates with a wide spectrum of partners and is the only organization with the scientific resources, regulatory influence, and strategic plan to better treat, prevent, and eventually cure T1D.

As the largest charitable supporter of T1D research, JDRF is currently sponsoring $530 million in scientific research in 17 countries. More than 80 percent of JDRF's expenditures directly support research and research-related education. JDRF will not rest until T1D is fully conquered.
